BTW I totally agree that a dedicated Tune Tag substack would be a great idea. Also, unfortunately, I'm not able to offer to administrate this. What comes to mind is that you have a host (in this case Brad) and a guest (in this case me). If each guest became the subsequent host, then maybe the admin of this idea becomes more doable, kind of a host/guest-to-host tag. Just thinking aloud. I know the devil's in the detail, and I have not thought that demonic admin part through at all...
I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet today. Truth is I’ve been out the whole day, with my family, visiting friends that I have not seen for a few years. Was a great day, no internet, no mobile, just friends, countryside, mountain views, swimming pool, sunshine and bbq, perfect!
Now I’m home, looking at the comments.
Firstly, thank you, Brad, for making this happen and for fielding everything today.
All I can say is that I really enjoyed doing this. I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to join in. And I’ve really enjoyed reading the finished article and the comments.
Later today (but probably realistically tomorrow) I intend to repost the article on my substack.
All this tune-tagging makes me think there should be a tune-tag Substack! All tune-tag all the time! Of course I am not volunteering to set it up, but it does seem like a no-brainer to becoming a popular 'Stack!
Oh, and like everyone else has said, excellent tagging for this one, Brad and Nic!
Holy S*** Brad! First, I just looked at the roster in the title (perfect clickbait for people of a "certain age")--and knew I had to take the time to dig into this. I'm still only partway through, but I have to take a break after those two Bowie/Cher clips, to stuff my brains back into my head. No post-production, no autotune, just greatness. Wow, thank you guys for digging this up, just amazing!
Fascinating read. I loved following your respective trains of thought and selection processes. I also like the fact some of the songs/themes in our Tune Tag kind of acted as a trigger (in the same way as yours with Val did with ours). Which means that, not only are the songs in each set connected, but also there's some sort of connection between these different sets of songs! What's not to love?
🎵Tune Tag #3 with Nic Briscoe of "The Song's the Thing": Bowie, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Cher

All the best
Today I learned about Cher and Bowie doing a duet on TV! Holy crap.
Once again way behind on my reading but starting to catch up. This was yet another wonderful journey, I enjoyed following along!!
Hello! This is so cool! I’d love to play along with you :) how do I get involved?

Nice!! Good game. Nic's been a great addition to my list of music stackers. Always fun!
