There was a spoof documentary about an ageing rock band called Thotch. Not sure where it was screened, other than the BBC: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04vf5g4

Peter Gabriel made a guest appearance. It’s really funny.

We did get the Banana Splits, although I haven’t seen much of it and didn’t think of a Wombles link. Will sig around in YouTube.

Wow! Everybody likes Roy! And Wimbledon, eh? Remember, you’re a Womble! My friends dad had something to do with making their album! I wish I knew more! But any Brian Pern fans here? Lots of Wombletude woven throughout!

I met Brian Pern once. Well, he said he was Peter Gabriel but we know better, don’t we?

This is making me wish the Wombles had made prog album now 😮

I'll have to let my Womble research uncover Brian Pern for me....I know not of whom you speak! No Wombles prog album? Shocking! Let's start a rumor that "The Lamb" album was really the Wombles.....btw, Ian....if you're not familiar with the States' Banana Splits, it'd be worth getting up to speed on them. They're worth referencing on any Wombles piece!

You're right, Britta! Everybody DOES like....and even, loves, Roy! They just have to hear him....and, here in the States, that's been our problem....'70s airplay! Ian and I have collabbed to solve that stateside dilemma! UK, enjoy what you've loved for years! U.S. listeners, here ya go!

Stay tuned, Britta....coming soon, we'll be undressing The Wombles! Or, at least doing an in-depth peek into the music behind the fur!

Nancy Sinatra’s 2004 release is fantastic!! She has Jarvis Cocker, Joey Burns, Morrissey, and Don Randi all backing her while Burns and Cocker also move to the other side of the plexi -glass.
