"Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird, it's a plane!" No, it's a bitchin' tune with a catchy melody & swirling harmonies that's easy to sing along with! There's 5 of 'em, all having to do with flight!
JJ Cale & The 5 Dimension in one article! Be still my beating heart. I think Florence La Rue is still touring and singing their songs? At least up until COVID, anyway.
Hey, you know we at FR&B love to shake things up! If you're a leafy Cale fan, I wonder if you knew of his Leathercoated Minds tenure! As for Florence, that'd be great if she were able to take to the road at 80. I didn't realize (or had forgotten) she was once married to Marc Gordon, 5D's manager! Thanks for boarding our flight, Kevin!
First time for me hearing anything about them, too! There seem to be an awful lot of bands in the late '60s that just flew under the radar; it may have been the "subversive hippie" vibe that scared off some radio, but that's the era I seem to stumble into artists I go..."Who?!" to more frequently than others!

Leathercoated Minds was 100% brand new to me!
